Automatic palletizing and depalletizing of cartons and products with robotic arms.
Robotic palletizing and depalletizing systems are high-precision industrial solution units that automate the processes of stacking products onto pallets from the end of the production line (palletizing) or removing products from a pallet, line or storage system to be processed (depalletizing). Thanks to robotic arms, vacuum, mechanical or magnetic gripper equipment and AI-powered machine-vision systems, they stack products error-free and stably according to predefined pallet patterns, regardless of the product's weight or form.
The greatest advantage of these systems is that they completely take the "palletizing" load, one of industry's most demanding and physically wearing tasks, off human shoulders. Robots maintain a steady pace by working uninterrupted 24/7, keeping production flowing without pause. In addition, by stacking products at maximum stability and with the desired gap ratios without damaging one another, they minimize damage that can occur during transport. They completely eliminate the occupational health and safety risks that can arise especially when handling heavy loads.
It is used in all industries where boxed, bagged or carton-based products coming off production need to be palletized. It is heavily preferred for fast and hygienic palletizing in the food and beverage sector, heavy-load palletizing in the chemical and paint industry, precise part stacking in the automotive supplier industry, and complex mixed-case depalletizing in cargo logistics.
During the investment process, the robotic arm's payload and reach must be chosen very carefully according to the product's weight and the dimensions of the palletizing area. The gripper design must be customized to the surface properties of the product to be carried (rough, slippery, sensitive, etc.) and the way it is picked. The system's speed must be synchronized with the line's capacity so that no bottleneck forms. In addition, if AI-based vision systems are used, powerful software capable of recognizing different product sizes and dynamically creating palletizing patterns should be preferred.
As ACS Intralogistics Solutions, we provide robotic solutions that take your facility's palletizing operations out of manual processes and turn them into an end-to-end smart and autonomous structure.
We design our robots not as an isolated station but as a fully integrated automation cell that communicates with the conveyor lines, AS/RS storage units, automatic stretch-wrapping and labeling machines in your facility. With our 3D simulations we test the entire process before installation, designing cells that work with maximum efficiency even in the tightest spaces. Whether it is standard carton stacking or complex mixed-case palletizing, with ACS Intralogistics Solutions we take your operational efficiency and safety to the highest level.
