Safe and precise vertical lifting solutions with hydraulic and chain mechanisms.
These systems are industrial solutions that provide vertical transfer of heavy loads between floors, divided into two main categories according to their working principle:
Hydraulic Systems: Systems that move the platform vertically by means of a hydraulic cylinder and pump assembly, generally used for very heavy loads (pallets weighing tons), working at low speed but high power.
Chain (Mechanical) Systems: Systems that transmit the power received from an electric motor and gearbox to the platform via high-strength chain mechanisms, with higher speed and cycle capacity and the ability to perform precise stop positioning.
Advantage of Hydraulic Systems: Low maintenance cost, very high lifting capacity and, thanks to their simple mechanical structure, long-lasting use in demanding industrial conditions.
Advantage of Chain Systems: High speed, suitability for continuous operation, energy efficiency and millimeter-level alignment capability.
Common Advantage: By moving forklift traffic into the vertical dimension, they create "transit corridors" on the facility floor and provide a safe, orderly dispatch flow.
They are used across a wide range, including raw-material transfer in heavy-industry facilities, multi-floor storage areas, inter-line part feeding on automotive assembly lines, and pallet transfer between dock levels in logistics centers. Hydraulic systems in particular are preferred in dock-leveler applications, while chain systems are preferred in vertical conveyor integrations.
In the investment process, cycle frequency is the main determinant. If heavy loads will be transferred 5-10 times per hour, hydraulic systems are ideal in terms of cost-performance; but if a fast flow of 40-50 times per hour is needed, high-speed chain systems must be preferred. The platform's entry-exit directions (Z, C or L type), the building's existing clearance dimensions and safety measures (railings, door sensors) must be engineered through professional design work.
As ACS Intralogistics Solutions, we analyze your facility's weight and speed needs and engineer the hydraulic or chain vertical-lifting architecture best suited to your operation.
For us, a lifting system is not just an "up-and-down" mechanism; it is a "smart vertical carrier" that connects all the intralogistics arteries of your facility (your conveyor lines, your robotic cells). With our 3D simulations we optimize the load flow in your facility; with our safety sensors and advanced automation infrastructure, we carry out the inter-floor transfer of your loads with ACS assurance, to the highest safety standards. By determining the technological solution best suited to your facility and carrying out the turnkey installation, we raise the efficiency bar in your logistics operations to the highest level.
